A New Thing!
This will be my 4th week back at the Nacogdoches Farmer's Market under the new enforcement. I would like to thank everybody for their support, and well wishes. I missed you all too.
As you know from reading the labels on my breads, bagels, and scones, I have been having bakesales for local non-profit organizations. It has been working great.
I have not baked as much as I had previously becasue I wanted to make sure I had the customer base to sell out. Looks like that won't be a problem. I am happy to announce that I will start making the more interesting varieties again. I will swap off on what to make each week, as my little baby gets jealous if I put her down to much.
I was thinking of having an every week list, and then 2 every other week lists. That way if you don't see it one week, you know it will be there the next. Does that make sense?

I will return to the Market this Saturday! Thank you one and all for being so patient. I hope to see all my regulars and friends there bright and early.

It is amazing what you find when you use Google. Looking for a neat picture to add to my post I googled "Triumphant Return" This peace is so named. Don't worry it will be the same Carol's Breads. No snakes, or fish, or whatever that is.

I have had a few people asking me about how to get bread/bagels/scones to them. The Farmers Market not an option at the moment. I am working on that, but don't have anything nailed down yet.
In the mean time I am taking orders form my friends and baking that way. If you ever got my card, you have my email, and are therefore my friend.
"How? How can I get my scone fix?"
"I need multigrain bread for toast at breakfast"
" My mother-in-law is coming to town, and I need to impress her with my skills!" (Hey you shopped for it)
"My sandwiches taste so bland on plain bread. I need a chipotle bagel."
Never fear. I can help you out. Just send me an email with:
1. Type of item you would like
2. Size or quantity
3. Where/when you would like delivery.
example:
I need 12 Asiago cheese bagels, and a small loaf of farmhouse bread. Can you deliver it to my work (address deleted here) sometime before 2pm on Friday? I will have the money there.

Hopefully you remember the sizes. I had small, medium and large breads. Larges were $5, medium were $4, and the smalls were $3. I had sample loaves as well, but I can't really just bake those, they don't use enough dough to make a batch at a time. Picture above is of the farmhouse.

Texas Law and Bread
When I started at the Farmer's Market I was told that sellers at the farmers market did not have to have a commercial kitchen in a separate facility. Unfortunately, I was misinformed and SOMEBODY has asked the city of Nacogdoches to bar the sale of canned goods and other products from the market not produced in a commercial kitchen. Well, folks, that includes me along with the jam lady, the jelly lady, the pie lady, the pound cake man, the yummy granola lady, etc.
I'm sorry to say that until the market figures out what it is going to do, I won't be selling there. Please feel free to contact me through this blog or the contact information on my card regarding any questions.
